Frequently asked

Answers to the common questions.

How much does it cost to send money with Kudu?
Transfers between Kudu accounts are free. You pay when money enters or leaves the network: adding money costs about 1.5% (the conversion partner's rate), and cashing out with a verified agent costs 0.5% (minimum €0.30). Every fee is shown in the app before you confirm.
Are there any monthly or setup fees?
No. A personal Kudu account has no monthly fees and no setup fees — you only pay when money moves, and the exact cost is shown before you confirm.
How does Kudu's pricing compare to traditional remittance services?
End-to-end, a €500 transfer through Kudu — adding money (~€7.50), a free Kudu-to-Kudu transfer, and an agent cash-out (€2.50) — costs about €10, around 2%. The average cost of sending money to Sub-Saharan Africa is 8.78%, which would be €43.90 on the same €500.
Do recipients in Africa have to pay fees to receive money?
No — receiving money on Kudu is free. Recipients only pay if they cash out: 0.5% (minimum €0.30) with a verified agent, or the partner's rate shown before they confirm.
How much does KuduSafe escrow cost?
Creating a KuduSafe escrow costs 0.5% of the amount, with a minimum of €1 and a maximum of €25 — shown before you fund it. Additional fees apply only if a dispute is filed.
How does pricing work for merchants?
Merchants pay a commission of 1.8% to 2% per successful sale — your buyers pay nothing, and if a sale doesn't complete you pay nothing. Payouts arrive as soon as the sale settles, there are no chargebacks thanks to escrow, and API early access is available on request. Your exact rate is shown before you list.
How does whitelabel pricing work for platforms?
Whitelabel partners license Kudu's rails and pay a commission on volume — pricing is custom, so talk to us. You set your own prices for your merchants: Terra Corrèze and DealGroupAfrica both run their own pricing on top of Kudu. Compliance (KYC, KYB and AML) and settlement through our licensed partners are included, with dedicated support and an SLA.
Does Kudu hold my money like a bank?
No — Kudu is a non-custodial technology platform, not a bank: it can't spend your money. Transactions are co-signed, and the co-signature has a time-out, so your funds are always recoverable. Availability and exact costs can vary by region and verification level.
